Two Hino truck dealers in KwaZulu-Natal joined forces to put on am impressive display at the Eston Show, which has been running for 60 years consecutively. The event, which targets the agricultural sector, attracted seven truck brands and five brands of cars and LCVs among the 100 big exhibitors.

Hino Pietermaritzburg and Hino Mobeni each took three stands and displayed six trucks: Hino 300 915, 300 815 Automatic, 500 1626, 500 2626, 500 1324 4x4 and 700 2845.

The dealers reported plenty of interest in their products, especially the new 500-Series  2626 freight carrier and several promising leads were obtained and quotations given.

This support by Hino for agricultural shows mirrors the ongoing backing for the annual Nampo Show in Bothaville by Hino South Africa and harks back to the early history of Toyota and its Dyna and Hino truck brands when the newcomer to the SA market was a particularly strong seller to the farming community in the rural areas.
