Hino South Africa took top position in Datatrack’s combined comparative customer experience truck study for each of the four quarters in 2025.

Hino South Africa took top position in Datatrack’s combined comparative customer experience truck study for each of the four quarters in 2025. This is the third successive year that Hino SA has topped the combined score for sales, service and parts in a survey of 13 local OEMs.

Hino’s combined average for the fourth quarter was 98.55, with 99.69 for sales, 99.86 for service and 96.1 for parts.

Datatrack Management, which has the slogan: “Driving excellence in the truck industry: Benchmarking customer satisfaction for better performance,” has been conducting customer satisfaction surveys among about 30 000 local truck operators since 1986. The figures are based on research conducted every three months of a year.

“We are very pleased that we have been able to continue to dominate the Datatrack Management truck studies for so long and realise that we cannot relax our strive to provide the ultimate customer satisfaction to our customers,” commented Itumeleng Segage, General Manager of Hino SA.

“We are particularly grateful to our dealer network of 66 outlets countrywide for their commitment to Hino’s global strategy of Total Support. This relates to building and retaining meaningful relationships between all parties in the value chain, from Hino Japan to the Hino South Africa head office staff, the dealer network, other service providers and, most importantly, our customers.

“We have to keep raising the bar in all our interactions with customers in the light of the ultra-stiff competition in the current South African market, where overall truck sales are decreasing, meaning we have to continually better our service to earn sales,” concluded Segage.
